About Me

Alexa Victoria Schmidt

This page is a collection of my publications and my personal interests, from booklists to my Spotify playlist, so that you have a chance to learn a little bit more about me, to see if my vision and interests might fit your editing needs.

My Research Papers:

My graduate research paper, titled “International Cross-Media Adaptation: a Case Study of The Witcher, was published on PDXScholar. If you’d like to learn more about the adaptation and publication history of Netflix’s latest book-to-screen adaptation and how authors can benefit from the use of new media, read more here.

If you’re more interested in the business of book publishing and the growing supply chain issues, read my report published in collaboration with Independent Booksellers and Publishers Association and other students at Portland State University on good distribution practices. You can read my section on “Cost Effective Book Delivery” here to learn more about solutions for distributing print books in our current market.
